Snowy Shortcuts

With winter break just around the corner, teachers are taking time to relax, decompress, and enjoy the holiday season. There are also those teachers who love to use this time off as an opportunity to refresh and discover new lessons, activities, and ideas. But who doesn’t love easy shortcuts to make our time using our Macs even easier?! Below are some “snowy shortcuts” for the holiday season for you to enjoy and explore.

  • Command + K: Automatically inserts a link
  • Command + space bar: Spotlight search on your Mac
  • Command + Shift + 3: Screenshot your entire screen
  • Command + Shift + 4: Drag a box to screenshot a specific area
  • Hold the “option” key and click the 3 lines in the upper right corner to put your computer on “Do Not Disturb”

  • Command + Q: Quit that app
  • Command + A: Select all
  • Command + F: Find a specific word
  • Command + C: Copy
  • Command + V: Paste
  • Command + Z: Undo
  • Command + S: Save
  • Command + or -: Zooms in or out
