I think the most important thing that when he wished his dream it came true. He is a really hard worker and he will work a lot. He makes so much money and uses it to make more snowflakes.

    • Elan January 21, 2015 at 6:04 pm

I saw that you said that he made a lot of money, but I believe that he spent more money on making pictures of snowflakes than the amount of money he received from the pictures of the snowflakes.

  • Zoe January 21, 2015 at 2:32 pm

I thought the microscopic camera was awesome! How Willie took photos of snowflakes was pretty cool. But what I was wondering how does he take the photo in time without the snowflake melting. I also liked Willie’s passion for snow. Because snow can be a beautiful thing.

    • Samantha January 21, 2015 at 4:07 pm

I totally agree. Do they make microscopic cameras? If they do I totally want one.

    • Dylan January 21, 2015 at 4:12 pm

Zoe I like what you said and I agree. I also wonder how does the microscope not make the snowflake melt. And I think your post was great, long and had a lot of detail and information. That is what I think about your post

    • Jason January 21, 2015 at 4:50 pm

Zoe, I think that is also really interesting. I also think that the snow should have melted.

  • Elan January 21, 2015 at 2:33 pm

I thought the most interesting thing was that his neighbors did not appreciate his work.

  • Juan January 21, 2015 at 2:37 pm

The most interesting thing I thought about the book is that his mom was his teacher.

  • Benjamin January 21, 2015 at 2:38 pm

My favorite part of the book was the amazing microscope camera that could take pictures of snowflakes. It was amazing that Bentley could take hundreds of pictures of snowflakes even when the snowflakes melted, broke, and came out blurry. and even though Bentley lost about 11,000 dollars he still followed his passion.

    • Juan January 21, 2015 at 6:10 pm

I agree with you because he followed his dream and made it come true with what ever it takes

    • Efthemia January 21, 2015 at 6:44 pm

I agree that the microscope camera was amazing and that it could take pictures of snowflakes. Also, I think Snowflake Bentley was amazing because he never gave up. I think what you posted was cool!:)

  • Jason January 21, 2015 at 2:38 pm

I think that the most interesting thing is that he spent countless years taking photos of snowflakes. I think it is the most interesting part because a lot of people at first thought it was pointless but now, they have a whole monument for him!

    • Kalen January 21, 2015 at 3:52 pm

I agree with you and it is so cool what he did and a word for your sentence is ironic.

  • Alan January 21, 2015 at 2:39 pm

What I think is so interesting is passionate about his passion. Some supporting facts that are is that Bentley spent so many snow storms inside and while others where playing in the snow Bentely didn’t. Another reason is because of the so many times people put him down with disbelieve. He also spent time and suffering on many snow flakes.

I think the most interesting thing was that Willie spent his whole life studying and taking pictures of snowflakes

  • Ariela January 21, 2015 at 2:40 pm

My favorite part was when Willie never gave up when the pictures were just shadows.

  • Dylan January 21, 2015 at 2:41 pm

I personally think the most interesting thing in the story :Snowflake Bentley is when the guy willie was making different types of snowflakes. Mostly because most of them were interesting because all the different types of snowflake he made because they could be made of different shapes and points. Thats what part i think was the most interesting part of the story

    • Zoe January 23, 2015 at 7:44 am

Dylan I agree with you. How the snowflakes can have different parts and shapes. But how no two snowflakes are different some can be very similar. THink about how many snowflakes fall from the sky and not two are the same!

  • Kalen January 21, 2015 at 2:41 pm

My favorite part in the nonfiction part of Snowflake Bentley is that it is amazing is that Willie drew over 100 snowflakes each winter for 3 winters!

    • Joshua January 21, 2015 at 3:58 pm

Kalen I am too surprised that he got over 100 photos but, he did not draw them. Willie took photos of them and camera drew it for him.

  • Efthemia January 21, 2015 at 2:42 pm

The most interesting thing about Snowflake Bentley is that he was drawing snowflakes for 3 winters.

    • Stephanie January 21, 2015 at 7:26 pm

I also agree with you, I don’t think anybody in this classroom can be THAT devoted to do something. He never gave up until he got it to work out for him, I like that about him. He really deserved that camera.

  • Samantha January 21, 2015 at 2:44 pm

I think that the most interesting fact was that Bentley was very serious about his passion.
Some of the reasons I think that is he spent so much time and money on his dream. He did everything he could to get people to know about snowflakes. For instaince, he spent $15,000 and got only $4,000 back to pay for every single thing he needs to have success and to have food.

  • Stephanie January 21, 2015 at 7:17 pm

I thought the most interesting thing about this stroy was the ending, and how he died. I think that is interesting because there are so many things to make you pass away, and only one thing made him pass. This also makes me sad, though, because he was just 66 and still had life ahead of him, and also because he probobly had a long, painful death, not a quick one.

    • Ashley January 22, 2015 at 6:18 pm

I really love this part too! The one thing that I thought was the most interesting part about his death, was that they made a memorial to him.

  • Darshan January 22, 2015 at 7:15 am

I think the most interesting part in Snowflake Bentley was the superb microscope camera. I was awed by how Bentley actually managed to make sure they didn’t break, melt, or evaporate. You would have to move quickly, and just doing that would be a huge problem because you have to not break the snowflakes, and not let them melt. I was also amazed by how Bentley spent almost his whole life (and money, too) following his goal; making a snowflake picture taking machine. We should all learn a lesson from Bentley; never give up, and always follow your goal.

    • Alan January 22, 2015 at 8:07 pm

I agree with you because of these reasons, one of the reasons is that this awesome telescope camera lead to one of the major events, that is him publishing his books and all of the other things. For example, if he never had that camera he would have never published any books. Any way another thing that I have to agree with you about is the fact of how much money that he spent on his dream. This just shows you how much care and prettiness “Snow Flake” Bentley thought were in snow flakes.
In conclusion I agree with Darshan and I also think that “Snow Flake” Bentley really proved some thing to the world.

  • Ashley January 22, 2015 at 6:16 pm

To me the most interesting thing was when he got the camera! I thought this because Bentely’s parents spent a lot of money on that camera and if i got something like that, I would go crazy. I also think that this was the most interesting part because the camera could zoom in a whole ton. I definitely thought that this was the coolest part.

  • Vivian January 23, 2015 at 4:17 pm

I think the most interesting part in Snowflake Bentley is how he loved snow. Snow, I guess, is just people don’t think about how amazing a special just one snowflake can be. They just don’t really think about snow. It is just there. What can you do about it? But Wille wanted to show the world how unique snow can be because they are all different. Not one is the same. Wille just never gave up studying snowflakes because he wanted to show how extraordinary they are. Just imagine how could is just to study them would be, during a snow storm, you are just outside, waiting for the perfect snowflake. There is one thing we should learn from Wille, always follow your dream. Wille worked hard to conquer his dream. No mater how hard the problem is, he would just never give up. If you do the same, I believe your dream will come true too.
