My name is David Karnoscak. I attended Western Illinois University and graduated with a bachelors degree in Elementary Education in 2002. I taught in the Chicago Public School system for four years until coming to district 30 in August of 2006. I earned my masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction in 2010 from National Louis University.
I was a third grade teacher for 12 years. I just moved to a 1-to-1 iPad setting at grade 5. I strive to give each child that walks into my classroom the very best education possible. I attempt to incorporate technology into my lessons each and every day in the hopes that kids will latch on to my approach and soar. Skype and Google Hangouts are a part of my classroom routines weekly. I believe that every child is capable of learning and being successful if given the right tools to succeed. I take a constructivist approach. My hope is that students will generate knowledge and meaning from the interaction between their experience and ideas. Thanks for visiting our classroom blog. Feel free to check out the students work, and as always, leave some positive comments! The students love reading them.
