Digital Storytelling

Posted on March 22nd, 2013 in Personal Journal by Ms. Gomberg

Dear Bloggers,

In language arts, we have been reading stories in the genre of fantasy. Two stories that we read were Dogzilla and Kat Kong by Dav Pilkey.  We enjoyed these stories so much that we decided to create our own fantasy stories.  The students had to use the same story structure but create their own story.

Click the videos below to see what the students came up with!

Have a great spring break!

Parallel and Intersecting Lines

Posted on February 4th, 2013 in Personal Journal by Ms. Gomberg

Dear bloggers,

Today in math we learned about parallel and intersecting line segments.  Parallel line segments are lines that are in the same place and never meet. We also discussed intersecting line segments. Intersecting line segments are lines in the same plane are not parallel and must meet at some point. We went on a geometry hunt in the classroom to find examples of intersecting and parallel lines.  Look around your house. Can you find any examples of intersecting or parallel lines?
