One tradition in my family is Chinese New Year. Chinese New Year is a tradition to celebrate the new year. There are different years. 2012 is the year of the dragon.

The word tradition means something you do over and over again when an event happens. A tradition in our family is celebrating shabas every week.

A tradition is something you do monthly, daily, weekly, or yearly. Some of my family traditions are to celebrate Passover, Channuka, Yom Kippur, Sukkot, and Shabbat.

A tradition is something that happens at the same time every week, year, month, or day. Some traditions are celebrating birthdays, high holidays (Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur), other holidays like Channukah, Passover. Other things my family celebrates are bar (boy) and bat (daughter) mitzvas (good deed). My favorite tradition is Channukah because my siblings and I get presents:)

A tradition means something that a family does to celebrate their culture or a holiday. My family’s tradition is to celebrate Hanukkah once a year.
