Thidwick the Big-Hearted Moose

We read the story of Thidwick the Big-Hearted Moose, by Dr. Seuss. In the story, Thidwick allows a bug to hitch a ride on his antlers. The problem begins when the bug starts inviting others to join him. Thidwick is too kind to complain or tell the animals to leave.

Mrs. Toggle Books

This week we read three books about Mrs. Toggle by Robin Pulver: Mrs. Toggle’s Zipper, Mrs. Toggle and the Dinosaur, and Mrs. Toggle’s Bad Hair Day. How were all the books alike? Did you like one book better than the others, and why? If the author wrote another book about Mrs. Toggle, what kind of problem do you think she might have?
