Preschool Visitors

In writing workshop both a.m. and p.m. classes have been working so hard on their pattern books about kindergarten!   We wanted to celebrate by sharing our books to children who would find this book helpful and informational.  So, we invited the preschoolers to our classroom and partnered each preschool student with a kindergarten student.  All of the kindergartners read their book to a partner and after, gave a tour of our classroom.  This was a great time for all of the students!  The kindergartners loved being the “teacher.”  Take a look…..(more coming soon!)

Grandpa Toad’s Secrets-Narrated by Ms. Barry’s P.M. Kindergarten

Check out what we did in library!  First, we read the book, Grandpa Toad’s Secrets, by Keiko Kasza.  Then we retold the events in the story, using pictures taken with the I-pad.  We also used a new learning application called, Educreations, which allowed us to add voice recording.  To view, just click on the following link!
