unnamedWelcome to the Wescott Library Blog!  Here you will learn about the exciting learning going on in the Wescott Library.

A little about me …

I am so happy to be joining the Wescott family as your new school librarian!  The staff in D30 has been amazing as I learn all about this wonderful district and Wescott School.  I fell in love with libraries while working as a volunteer in my daughter’s school library for 6 years.  I decided to go back to school and become a librarian.  I have worked at the Oak Park Public Library and as a long-term substitute librarian in District 97 in Oak Park.

The library is looking beautiful for the start of the school year.  New carpeting was installed over the summer, and Mrs. Spencer and I have been working hard to get things ready for the 2015-2016 school year.  Even though she retired, Ms. Lenger came back last week to help unpack all of the boxes of books that had to be moved out for the rennovation!

Keep checking back to this blog to see updates on events and activities in the library, and how the Wescott Library Makes a World of Difference this school year.
