To go along with our theme of Worldwide Wescott, we have purchased New-York Times best-selling picture book, All Are Welcome by Alexandra Penfold for every classroom. I placed copies in teacher mailboxes yesterday and we will have 5 additional copies of the book in the library for specialists to check out. This is a great beginning of the school year read aloud! Here is some praise for the book:
“This is a must-read for pre-school and elementary classrooms everywhere. An important book that celebrates diversity and inclusion in a beautiful, age-appropriate way.” – Trudy Ludwig, author of The Invisible Boy and Quiet Please, Owen McPhee!
“A great read-aloud selection to start the year and revisit time and again.” —School Library Journal
